Our media team works to raise awareness of bullying as
a serious issue for children and young people. We highlight
excellent anti-bullying practice across the country and promote
stories about children and young people who have overcome bullying
in a positive way. The team works across the range of print,
broadcast and online media. ABA has over 130 member organisations. We also have 200
members of our school and college network. We offer a wealth of
expertise across all areas of anti-bullying work.
Anti-Bullying Week 2011
Every November, ABA runs Anti-Bullying Week - a national awareness-raising
week in England. This year Anti-Bullying Week will
run from 14th to 18th November with the theme 'Stop and think -
words can hurt.'
"We want to help create an environment where demeaning and
hurtful language is never tolerated. We are encouraging schools to
highlight the damage that verbal bullying can do and to make clear
what language is and isn’t acceptable."
