Ofsted commission survey on bullying in
schools
Ofsted have commissioned a survey on
‘Pupils’ experiences of bullying in school’. The survey will
explore pupils’ experiences of bullying in school, and will include
a focus on different groups of learners.
This survey will evaluate the effectiveness of anti-bullying
practices in schools and make recommendations for improvement as
appropriate. The report will extrapolate the elements of successful
practice in schools that lead to the prevention of bullying in
general. In addition it will contain case studies of how schools
have tackled and prevented particular types of bullying. This will
focus on homophobic bullying and the bullying of disabled
pupils.
